Nissan Repair: 2000 nissan sentra, nissan sentra, cv boots

Question
i have a 2000 nissan sentra with 187000 miles on it over the last 10,000 miles a slight roar{kind of like large lugged tires on a 4 wheel drive truck} in the front end. could this be the front hub bearing,or could it be the cvjoints. there is know popping sounds just a very faint clicking when turning sharply at medium speed? this clicking can only be heard when you are next to a concrete median where the sound can bounce back at you.

Answer
Hi Timothy

This sounds like the hub bearings. You will need a press to remove/install these bearings. You should also consider replacing the CV joint half shafts on both sides, since it is just one step further than the bearings. Check the integrity of the CV boots, that should be the deal maker.

Hope this helps -
