Nissan Repair: security light, security light, pathfinder

Hi. I have a 1997 pathfinder and I noticed that the security light is on when the doors are open and when closed no light. I'm stumped. Thank you

Hi there, the security light, (usually yellow light) indicates that a door is ajar or the security system has failed. It is normal for the light to come on when you open the door(s). When the door is closed again and you are out of the vehicle, the security light stays on and blinks for a few seconds and then it goes off.
