Steering Column Repair: Steering column, ford f 150, going in the right direction

Our 1995 Ford F-150 is stuck in reverse.  Any suggestions on how to fix this?

It's hard to tell right away what happened to your truck.  I need a little more info from you.
Does the shift lever move or is it stuck?
If it moves, doe sit move extremely freely or do you feel positions?
Did this happen suddenly or has it been getting looser and looser over a couple of weeks?
