Nissan Repair: Clutch replacement 1996 Nissan Maxima w/175,000 miles, clutch replacement, clutch system

Question
My clutch is starting to slip . Curious as to an estimated cost for replacement
and any particular parts that should be replaced in the process.
I live in Brooklyn, NYC
I understand that exact pricing is not possible .

Answer
Hi Jim -

The 3 components to the clutch system are the pressure plate, disc, and bearing. You should be able to get it all in one kit instead of buying each separately. Be a lot cheaper that way. Ballpark, say maybe $100 - $150. It is also recommended that the flywheel be resurfaced once the transmission and clutch is out. That will add to the bill, but it is worth it.

Hope this helps -
