Nissan Repair: torque and idle prob, n13 pulsar, vacuum leak

1.hello bill i have a n13 pulsar 91 1.8 lire 5 speed manual an im needing the torque settings for the oil sump nuts,has got new gasket on 2.also when stopping sometimes the engine cuts out its like it idles down to 0 and cuts out,battery was disconected when doin other stuff before this problem please can you help thanks

Hi Alan, first the toque. Remember that the metric as well as the SAE bolts need to be torqued according to size. Observe the numbers on the head of the bolt.
M=thread size in mm:
M6 6-9 ft lbs, numbers on head 9-12
M8 14-21 ft lbs, numbers on head 19-28
M10 28-40 ft lbs, numbers 38-54
M12 50-71 ft lbs, numbers 68-96
M14 80-140 ft lbs, numbers 109-154
Now on the other problem, let's start by checking for a vacuum leak(s) first and let me know.
