Nissan Repair: reverse, oil level, 300zx

I have a 91' 300zx non turbo, manual transmission, I have been driving it for about a week now and have used the reverse during this time, now for some reason it wont go into the reverse gear, it still goes into all others and hasnt made any new noises since this has happened. i tried putting it in reverse while the car was off and still just wont go. any ideas or something i can try

Hi Drew -

Looks like your reverse gear sync is out of whack. Unfortunately it means disassembly of the transmission to replace.

Just to ask, have you checked the trans oil level?

However if it still does not go in gear with the engine off, then most likely you are looking at a trans overhaul.
