Nissan Repair: insturment cluster, nissan d21, fuse block

Question
i have a 1994 nissan d21 truck, 4 cylinder, 5-speed, 4x4. none of my gauges or warning lights work except the blinkers on the gauge cluster and the highbeam indicator. fuel gauge works but nothing else, put a new cluster in from another truck, same thing, nothing worked, what else can i check, and where. thanks

Answer
Sorry about the delay, I have no internet access at work. There is a circuit breaker near the fuse block, looks like a big fuse but it's in a metallic cover. It is possible that it is faulty. Remove breaker and with a test light and the ignition on check for power in the terminals. One terminal should have power. If it does check breaker for continuity using a self powered volt/ohm meter. If there's no continuity replace breaker. If there is no power, check for open circuit (cut or disconnected wire) which is kind of difficult and it takes some time. Or check for a short. To check for a short circuit, remove the corresponding fuse from the fuse block. With a test light and ignition off, touch each terminal. The light should remain off. Then wiggle the harness and if the light shines on, then, there is a short somewhere along this circuit. This is also difficult to locate and time consuming. Check all grounds to make sure they are connected clean and free of corrosion. With a self powered ohm meter and no power to the circuit, connect one end of the meter to where the power is and the other end to a good ground. If you have continuity, (some testers have a light)or if the light comes on, then, the circuit is passing current properly. I hope this helps!
