Nissan Repair: replacing motor for rear window 1995 nissan pathfinder, nissan pathfinder, down position

Question
Hello, I was wondering the steps and precautions
I need to take to replace the rear window motor in
my 1995 Nissan Pathfinder. The window is currently
in the down position.
Thank you

Answer
Hi Erich

The motor is accessed by removing the door panel. Be careful when doing this as the panel is easily damaged. Use a putty knife to pry the panel away from the door. There will be places that may have screws that hold the upper portion. Once the panel is removed, you will see the motor on the lower half of the track. Probably held by 3 or 4 10mm bolts. If the window is down, then disconnect the window track from the lift and wedge the window in the raised position to get to the motor.

Hope this helps -
