Nissan Repair: blower fuse keeps blowing, nissan altima, auto parts store

Question
hi have a 09 nissan altima my blower quit blowing air it wont blow heat or a/c on any of the settings.. i checked my fuses there are two for the blower motor and they were both burnt so i replaced them but as soon as i put the new fuses in they blew instantly.. we removed the blower motor and hooked it up to the battey and it ran fine what would cause this? could it be a short in my harness or somthing simpler i hope thanks

Answer
Hi Jonathon -

Looks like the blower resistor (rheostat) fused. That should be located either on the firewall near the passenger side of the vehicle, or somewhere in the cab under the dash. Has a few wires connected to it. This controls your fan speed, and probably shorted.

Simple to replace, and any auto parts store should stock it.

Hope this helps -
