Nissan Repair: E Brake Stuck on 1990 Nissan Maxima, nissan maxima, bleeder valves

Question
The E Brake is stuck on my 1990 Nissan Maxima. I have tried
the interior lever, but that doesn't work. Is there a way I
can release it from somewhere else?

Answer
Hi Paul -

Couple things you can try -

Locate the bleeder valves behind the rear wheels and loosen. I think it is either an 8MM or 10MM screw. If fluid shoots out and the wheels loosen, you have blockage in the hydraulic system.

If that does not work, then loosen the cable adjustment for the E brake. This is located either under the brake lever, or under the vehicle connected to the cable.

Let me know how this goes -
