Nissan Repair: nissan terrano 2 5th gear problem, nissan terrano 2, first hope

was out driving today got an automatic gear box it didn't want to go into 5 gear but then it did but as i was driving along it kept dropping back of in and OUT OF GEAR I HAVE JUST HAD MY BATTERY AND STARTER noter replaced do you have any dears as to what is happening please

Hi Michael -

I would first check the automatic transmission oil level. Depending on when you last changed it, and you mileage, you might just change the oil and see.

If not that, then perhaps an overhaul may be in your future. I did not get the year of the car, but if you have a check engine light on, then might want to have that diagnosed first.
