Nissan Repair: nissan repair, seat belt webbing, nissan almera 2004

Question
my nissan almera 2004 seat belt light wont go off

Answer
Phil,

One of the vendors for Nissan, which will remain nameless, read the label on the seat belt webbing and you will know, has issues with quality.  In the case of your seat belt you can get the light to turn off by unplugging the wire under the seat that feeds the belt.  Or, if you want to do it right you get to replace the seat belt receptacle. Oh, goodness me...  You have to purchase an entire seat belt assembly.  I have had many Nissan cars and have only had this problem with this seat belt vendor.  No one makes their own seat belts now.  So, they are subcontracted.  Just unplug the thing to get the light to turn off.  No money involved...
