Nissan Repair: 2005 Nissan Altima Headlight Problem, 2005 nissan altima, nissan altima

Question
On the driver's side, the low beam on my 2005 Nissan Altima does not work but the high beam does.  I have replaced it with no change. The passenger side works fine (both low and high).  I'm assuming the fuse is OK or the high bean would not work.  Could it be a relay or a switch and if so where would they be located - Thank you

Answer
Larry,

I can't imagine the headlight switch failing this soon.  But, things are not as they used to be.  The way the Asian cars are wired the left and right are fused separately as are the high and low beam.  Check under the hood where the fuse block is.  If the fuse is good then it is the switch.  Now, that is, unless the car was in a wreck and the ground wire for the low beam is damaged or even the plug.  Check it out and let me know what you find.  rockauto.com or courtesyparts.com are both good sources for a new switch, if that is what you find.  Also, autopartswarehouse.com is another good source.  I shop around on-line to save money.
