Nissan Repair: Oil Light Flickering, Car Dies, Oil Level Ok., mr bronson, pan gasket

Question
QUESTION:
Hi Calvin, the previous question below was asked:
Question
Oil light flickers, the car dies, oil level ok

And you asked for more info.
I am experiencing the same thing. the Oil Light Flickered While the Car was idling. When you Accelerate it would stop. It did this for a While. It got to the Point where after While the Oil Light would come on Fully, and not Flicker and Then the Car Would Stale.  it would Turn over after While but you would have to full Surpress the Accelerator and Rev the engine up. But would die out at Idling. When it dies, the Wheel gets Really Tough to turn, and the Brake gets hard Too. White Smoke didnt come out of the exaust from  what i could see, but i did some Smoky Steam like Action From under the hood, Close up to the Wind Shield from a small Square Box with tubes going down into the engine or something. Hopefully that can help.

ANSWER: Mr. Bronson

the oil light indicates how much pressure you have in the system, not the level, so if this light is on, then you may have issues with the oil sump pump, or bloackage in the system. When was the last time you changed your oil?

The brake and steering being hard to turn is typical when the engine cannot idle.

Hope this helps -

QUESTION: I changed it in August... I Wasnt due for a Oil change for another 1000 miles or so... I have it at a Local Tire Kingdom here, and they are Saying i need to replace the Oil Pan Gasket. No one advised me on this issue when i Got my Oil Changed in August. from the same Company. And would this issue cause the Car to Stall?

Answer
Hi Mr. Bronson

Under extreme conditions where the oil pump is not working at all, it could cause the engine to stall. however it just may be 2 separate issues.

What was the year and make of your car? How long did you have this problem? Ever since the oil change, after or before?
