Question
Engine turns over but car  fails to start

Answer
Hi Wilfred

First of all we need to determine if it is fuel or electrical.

Pull out a spark plug wire and insert a screwdriver in the boot til it wedges against the metal terminal inside.

Hold the screwdriver shaft 1/4" away from any metal surface of the engine while a helper tries to start the engine (do not touch any metal surface while doing this). A spark should be jumping between the 2 metal surfaces.

If there is spark, the problem is fuel, maybe fuel pump, relay, or start valve. Try priming the intake throat with fuel first before starting. If it still does not start, then could be the pump.

If there is no spark, check the Camshaft sensor, ignition module in the distributor (if so equipped).

Hope this helps -
