Okay, i have a minor problem. The driver side door of my nissan maxima drops every time i open it and in order for me to close it i would have to lift the car door by the handle a little then push and close. How do i go about fixing the door to close properly? do i have to tighten some that's loose?

Hi Jimmy -

There are a couple ways you can handle this. I don't know how much the door is sagging, but you can adjust the door pin that is located where the door latches to the car. You will need a star socket, though to fit the pin. Mark the location, unscrew it, and it can be adjusted. You would want to lower it to align it to the latch.

Open the door to the fullest, and try to lift it up and down. If there is a lot of play when you do this, the door hinge probably lost a bushing, or needs replacement. Sometimes the adjustment above will take care of this, but if the sagging is too much, then you will have to replace the door hinge.
