Nissan Repair: 95 Nissan Maxima Wont Start, nissan maxima se, nissan maxima

Question
Hi,

My car wouldn't start yesterday morning. I called AAA to jump start the car and test out the battery. The battery checked out fine with half life left. Drove half an hour to recharge the battery but this morning the car will not start. When I try to turn the key it's not cranking. It tries to turn on but I don't hear it cranking to turn the engine over. I'm about to change out the starter. Any advice on what the problem is?

Answer
Ike,

Take the battery down and have it tested and make sure it is fully charged prior to replacing the starter.  I just want to make sure the AAA guy did not misdiagnose the problem.  IF the battery is fully charged then replace the starter if the car does not turn over.
