Nissan Repair: Brake switch replacement on 1989 V6 trk, spade terminal, brake switch

Brake lites stay on. I tried to tape a pennny over the hole infront of the switch it didnt work. I ouht the switch ans started to reolace it but cannot disconnect it. Do I remove the nut thatappears to be in front of the switch on the brake pedal arm?

Hi Laurie -

The connector has a little tab on it that you press down and it releases from the spade terminal. I know space is limited and trying to look at what you are doing is worse.

If you can remove the nut first, that might make it easier. Then you can remove the entire switch and you will be able to find that tab. Be careful not to twist the wires too much though.
