Nissan Repair: nissan truck frame, truck shell, nissan truck

I have a nissan truck 94 model and the frame is totally rusted out in the rear. How could  i fix this or should it head to the junk yard even though it runs and looks great?

Hi Lucinda -

This is contingent upon how much you want to spend on your vehicle, and how badly the frame is rusted through. Is it to the point where the back bed is just hanging, are you afraind to load anything in the bed?

There are places that reinforce existing frames, but can run into upper hundreds/thousands. There is also the option to put your engine in another truck, shell, but that could run you some dollars as well.

My suggestion is to take it to, maybe a body repair shop and get an estimate of what it would take to minimally reinforce the frame so you can feel comfortable using the vehicle. Again all depends on your budget.

One last option is to look for a decent replacement vehicle, and sell your truck as is to recoup some money.
