Nissan Repair: Nissan altima 2005 left hand drive automatic transmission, nissan altima 2005, nissan altima

Question
Hi Calvin,
I bought a Nissan altima 2005 automatic car about 6 month ago. The car has being running fine with no issue till date. Off lately sometimes I have problem in the transmission while switching from neutral to drive mode on the traffic lights. The problem is there is no accelerate in the drive mode, I have then to switch to neutral gear and accelerate the car couple of times and then switch to the drive mode and the car starts running, I have also notice the pickup to be less than normal, although this happens sometimes its bring a lot of inconvenience specially at major intersection roads.  The ABS indicator on the dashboard turns on when this happens. The car has now run 72000 kms. I had taken the car for a computer check centre to check if there is a transmission problem in it. But the report says there is electronic problem in it. The transmission fluid oil is also ok even though I have changed it after I bought the car.
Please let me know as what can be the problem and the right solution for it.
Thanks in advance.
Kevin

Answer
Hi Kevin -

It really looks like you have a transmission problem. Sounds like the main drive bands are slipping. When you go up hills, does it seem like you have to press a lot os gas and the car is revving up with little power?

If you downshift to second or first, what is the reaction?

Let me know -
