Nissan Repair: radiator fan wont spin, amp fuse, radiator fan

Question
Hi, I have a 97' 200sx and I was putting the manifold cover back on and it touched the alternator and manifold and blew a spark in the air. As a result it blew the 75 amp fuse, I replaced it with a 75 amp fuse from a 96 sentra, now my radiator fan won't spin. Anything would help, I have to take a long trip and my mechanic is not responding. Thanks a mill

Answer
Steven,

If the charge light and brake light is not on you got lucky and did not take out the alternator.

The relay for the fan is probably blown if not the fuse itself.  Now, the temperature sensor that grounds the fan relay could have popped when the short occured.  Check these three out and you should find the problem in short order.
