Nissan Repair: 1998 nissan pathfinder ABS light, ABS

Question
my ABS light came on from coming home from work . On my way to work it was fine , roads  full of snow . When I start it in park it's off until I hit the brake .

the ABS system goes through random test while driving and if it detects a fault it will turn the ABS light on and put the ABS system into fail safe mode leaving with standard brakes.  the vehicle is perfectly safe to drive this way the only difference is that the ABS will not kick in if it starts the slide and will have to be diagnosed with a scanner to find out what the issue is.
