Nissan Repair: How to install side view mirror 97 sentra, nissan sentra, competent person

Hello!  I am an unexperienced but reasonably competent person when it comes to cars.  I bought a new side view mirror (the whole thing not just the mirror) for my 97 Nissan Sentra and am wondering if it is very difficult to replace, what tools I'll need, and how to do it.  Thanks so much!

you need to open your door, and on the inside should be a protective cover (on the other side of the mirror) that should pop off.  you should see how everything is put together.   generally there are 3 screws and you need to trace where the wiring disconnects, which you MAY have to remove the door panel to find.  i have never done this on a sentra, but i have on other cars, they should all be very similar.  hope this helps.  good luck, let me know the turnout.
