Nissan Repair: truck not starting, fuel pump filter, nissan frontier

Question
a few minutes ago i posted question about truck not starting. It's a 2000 nissan frontier v-6. was driving it and lost all power. all ligts still work, dash lights work, wants to start but doesn't, unsure where to start at? new battery, so don't know if it is distributor, fuel pump/filter, jump time? Hoping you can answer question and help me on where to start looking.

Answer
Norma,

If the truck turns over when you turn the key but does not start when turning over would not be an electrical issue with the starter or battery.  Need to look at the fuel pressure to make sure it is getting fuel and that there is spark.  Since it is a 2000 have the plugs been changed?  If not they are overdue.  The distrubutor could be the issue if there is oil on the optical shutter wheel.  To check this you need to pull the cap. rotor, rotor post and cover to check the wheel.  Check these and email me back.  If you have access to a scanner check for codes and email me back with those too.
