Nissan Repair: 2001 Nissan Altima Electric issues., nissan altima, fuse box

Question
Yesterday my friend and I were installing some lights and he cut the glove box light to use the power from it. Needless to say that didn't power what we had. We got the lights working and now the tail lights don't come on, the dash board lights, instrument cluster and the shifter lights don't come on. We have checked all the fuses and cant think of anything else.

Answer
Joe,

Repair the wire in the glovebox and replace the fuse.  Then, get a dedicated wire from the fuse box or the battery positive terminal and you should be fine.  Nissan uses a floating ground that really messes with the car's electrical system when it is cut into.
