Nissan Repair: Hicas warning light and ABS warning lights on dashboard, wheel sensors, nissan skyline

Question
Hello, I have a Nissan skyline GST-T 1996 model and have a problem with both the Hicas and ABS warning lights appearing onthe dashboard.  The steering is fine and also ABS seems to be working.  Could problem be just loose wiring?

Answer
Thanh,

No, you have something the computer is sensing as wrong.  Usually, the ABS is linked to a bad connector at one of the wheel sensors or the brake fluid needs to be flushed.  The Hicas is another issue all together.  Now, I have seen where the ABS fault will disable the Hicas so that could be the problem for both.  If you have a mate that has a Consult scantool you could have the code diagnosed.  If not, go through the system and make sure the fluid is fresh and the wiring and sensors are in good order at each wheel.  Email me back if you need more.  What is the weather like Down Under?  I live in Las Vegas and currently it is really hot.
