Nissan Repair: Car will not Start, 1996 nissan 200sx, nissan 200sx

My wife and I own 1996 Nissan 200SX Se-r with about 83,000 miles on it. I am currently assigned and work in Italy. Yesterday, she tried to start the car but all she is receiving is a clicking noise when turns the key. We waiting for our Italian mechanics to stop by the house and look at.  Do have any item what could be issue.

Hi Richard,

Sounds like the battery to me, however can you have her do this test - Turn on the headlights and try to start the car. Notice the headlights when you turn the key to start, if it goes dim, or off all of a sudden, then it is the battery. If it stays strong, then it could be your starter.
