Nissan Repair: problem with air conditioner in 93 nissan Maxima GXE, nissan maxima, freon

My air conditioner does not blow cool air any more. I bought this last month and was working fine until last week. It has 240K miles on it. I added antifreeze to it 2 weeks back and it worked couple of times after that and not any more.
I would appreciate if you can give any kind of advice.

Hi Richard -

This could be caused by many reasons. Low freon, clogged system, defective compressor, leaking seals or hoses, etc. What has to be done is to take it to a reputable mechanic, and put some gauges on it to see what kind of readings you get. It also helps to get a couple estimates to keep things in check.
