Answer
Shayne,

I need more, like which vehicle is it?  The filter usually bolts to the valve body and you have to take the filter off seperate.  If you removed the entire valve body, along with the filter, you will need to purchase a specific book on the transmission to verify that you have not lost any springs or ball bearings.  Really, you just need that page of the book.  Then it is a matter of replacing those, in the proper place and reinstalling the valve body.  Do not seperate the valve body parts or servos.  Make this as easy as possible.  I have even went to a wrecking yard, on old cars, to practice on another transmission, when there was no book available.
