I recently installed a new car stereo, and now I have no dashboard lights.  When I turn on the headlights, the digital read-out for the Air Conditioner goes off (but AC continues to work,) and I have no lights on my dash or gear shift.  I checked the fuses, and they all appear to be working.  Please Help!

Pull the stereo and get a wiring harness adapter.  Nissan uses a floating ground.  There is ground when the key is off and power when the key is on.  If you wired to that wire the radio lights will not work.  The harness adapter is under $20 bucks and you will probably need to replace the instrument light fuse.  After that all will be well.  Here is one on ebay for like $15 bucks.
