Nissan Repair: nissan micra s 2003 how to remove rear wiper arm, nissan micra, wd 40

The wiper moter appears to have failed and I need to remove the rear wiper arm in order to replace it.  retaining nut was very tight but is off now.   arm seems to be still locked solid with no place for any leverage. have sprayed with wd 40.   scared of breaking the glass!

any ideas please

Hi Kenpike -

Try lifting the wiper arm up off the glass. It usually bends near the pivot point. Once you have lifted the arm up as far as it would go, rock it back and forth. That should allow it to slip off the connection point.
