Nissan Repair: 2000 Nissan Maxima engine misses at 1500, bosch platinum, nissan maxima

Question
I have a 2000 Nissan Maxima with a manual transmission.  When under light acceleration it feels like the engine is missing in the 1500-2000 rpm range.  It is most noticeable when the engine is cold and in first gear.  The car jerks similar to the way the car jerks when someone is first learning to drive a standard transmission.  It idles fine and does not do this under medium or heavy acceleration.  The check engine light does not come on.  I have put in new spark plugs.

Answer
James,

Make sure you did not use Bosch Platinum plugs.  Next, there was a service bulletin on the coils.  If yours have not been replaced do so.  Replace all six and be done with it.  rockauto.com or courtesyparts.com are both good places to save a buck.
