Nissan Repair: 1987 nissan, fuel pressure gauge, air control valve

Question
my little truck will start and run for a few min then die just wondering if you can test fuel pump relays and were they are located thanks

Answer
Martin,

The fuel pump relay is under the dash, driver's side, above the fuse panel.  I would just get a fuel pressure gauge and verify the fuel is cutting off when the truck dies.  Screw it into the schrader valve and tape the gauge to the windshield.  If you have no fuel pressure when the truck cuts out you know the fuel pump or relay is defective.  If not start looking at electrical like the coil, idle air control valve and such.  Email me back if you need more.
