how would i go about removing a patial key out of an ignition. how do i remove the ign as well

Hi Joe -

Use a paper clip and bend a very small "L" hook at the end, and try to work the key out that way. You will have to get past the end and try to fish it out.

The ignition switch is removed by taking out the plastic housing (I think it is about 4 or 5 screws) and then removing the 2 hold down screws that affix it to the steering column. You may have to use a hammer and sharp chisel to remove those screws as they may have the tamper resistant type. I did not get the make, year and model of you car from you, so hopefully this will help -
