Nissan Repair: Window regulator for nissan 200sx se 1996, 1996 nissan 200sx, nissan 200sx

I have a 1996 Nissan 200sx se. Then original window
regulator on it broke, so I went to a car parts shop they
ordered my part and when i got it It didn't fit. It was way
off, they game me the Dorman Window Regulator Number: 740777, I went to other places and they offered me the same
thing. I checked online and the same part is what they give
me. should I order again and hope that they just made a
mistake sending the wrong one? or should I just go to a
Nissan dealer and get it from them?

Hi Martin -

First of all, check the production date on your vehicle. If it is July 1996 or later, it is considered a 1997 model, and may be listed differently on the parts list for the regulator.

The other thing you can do is get your VIN serial number, call the dealer for the part, and cross reference it with the Dorman number.

If all fails, take the entire assembly down to the parts store and have them physically compare. A lot of times things are listed completely wrong.
