Nissan Repair: 1991 Nissan 300 ZX Twin Turbo wont start after being garaged 2 months, nissan 300 zx, air intake hose

Question
I know I was supposed to go out and start my car at least once a week, but I've failed to do so.  Now, after not firing my baby up for the past two months, the little stinker won't start.  I had AAA out to jump it today but a basic jump wasn't effective.  The engine turned over like a champ, but it just wouldn't start.  I'm wondering if a spray fuel starter is safe for a fuel-injected engine and should be considered.  Then, the question of WHERE to spray the fuel starter needs to be addressed.  I "think" I know where the air intake hose is, but I sure wouldn't bet my life on it.  I'm not a mechanic, but I'm also unemployed and don't have extra money to spend starting up my car.  And besides, now I'm on a stinking mission to solve this problem myself.  I mean, how hard can it be?  The car has been running amazingly well.  The battery is good (although 4 years old and likely due for replacement) but it seems to take a charge just fine.  My car has gas in it.  I'm suspecting that something has just "dried out" because of not being run for two months.  Can you help?  And I PROMISE I'll never abandon my baby for this long again !!!!!

Answer
JoAnn,

I would first add premium gas and an fuel additive like Lucas fuel treatment.  Five gallons should do.  If you open the air filter box and spray in a little starter fluid and replace the filter and cover, then start the car.  If the battery is four years old replace it to make sure you have a good battery.  I love Interstate Megatron batteries.  That is just my choice...  Another thing that could cause the car not to start is the starter relay, if the car has not been started for a couple of months.  So, if starter fluid does not do the trick check the fuel pump relay.  Email me back with what you find.
