Nissan Repair: 2005 xterra fan (heater and A/C), 2005 xterra, fan heater

my heater and a/c fan slowly stopped working last week.  it occasionaly would turn on if i rotated the knob back and forth quickly, but now wont work at all.  I checked the fuses and they are not blown.  Any suggestions?

Looks like 2 things -

Either the fan motor has blown, or the resistor is bad.

Check the ppower to the motor when the fan switch is on. If there is power, then the motor needs replacing. If there is no power, then check the resistor, located on the A/C duct, or on the firewall of the engine.
