Nissan Repair: electrical.. cd player, nissan sentra, factory radio

Question
Hi Von.. i want to thank you for your last advice on my 92 maxima.. it was the alternator ~ the new alternator was faulty that's why the battery warning light went on.. i got a new alternator again// now the battery warning light doesn't come on anymore.

My question now is about my 2004 nissan sentra.. i can still listen to the cd player but when i press the eject button.. it will make some horrible cracking noise and the cd won't come out. The stereo cd system comes built in with the whole dashboard console. I don't have a picture to show you but you can probably find it on the internet in less than a minute.

Do you know what's going on Von or have anyway to fix it and get the cd out without taking it to nissan ?

now i just listen to radio :(

Answer
Francis,

Nissan uses Clarion radios and CD players.  They are prone to failure.  I would replace the unit with an aftermarket one, if available.  Something like the following link will work for the install kit and a radio of choice:

The factory radio is just coing to keep doing the same thing this one has done.
