Nissan Repair: Infiniti 02 I35, mass air flow sensor, mass air flow

Question
Hi Von! Help! tired of driving around stuck @ 65mph! (limp mode)...although saved me some tickets! Went in "safety mode" after fueling,,, stalled at 60mph. Restarted but now slow. Dealer diagnosed from code P1102 Mass Air Flow Sensor..lites on.. Service Eng @ TCS. They quote $750. My friend will install part-dealer cost $400 + $25 labor. I've had the sensor cleaned can't tell if it helped. How can I reset the ECM to find out? Can't find a shop with the software..disconnecting the battery didn't work? Tks!
