Nissan Repair: Powersteering belt for a Nissan xterra, nissan xterra, power steering pump

My friend just got her xterra a few moths back and all of a sudden it is super hard to steer. I believe its the power steering belt. Is that true or could it be something else. And How do you fix it?? thank you

If it is super hard to steer you should be able to see if the power steering belt is still there or if it has fallen off and out on the road.  Probably, you have a frozen power steering pump that threw the belt in the first place.  I would open the hood and inspect the power steering pump and belt to see what is going on.
