Nissan Repair: gas tank, nissan xterra, gas tank

when i go to put gas into the tank it spit it back out at me. i can no longer put gas in my nissan. it is a nissan xterra 2004. help what do i do?

Hi Tammy -

Look under the fuel door (in the fender) and see if the fill hose, or overflow hose is collapsed. There has to be some restriction that is preventing the fuel from flowing into the tank.

Have you tried putting in the fuel slowly? What happens then?
