Nissan Repair: 99 nissan pathfinder, shifting gears, nissan pathfinder

I was able to turn on the engine with no problems.  Did not notice any strange
sound.  However, I was unable to go reverse or forward.  Had no problem
shifting gears, but the car won't move.  When gear is set on neutral, could not
push the car.  What is wrong?

If the engine runs and the car will not move in any gear and you cannot push it in neutral then either the brakes are locked or the transmission is locked in two gears at once.  I would think the latter from your description.  That would mean that the servo body or the transmission shift computer (Automatic) is shorted.  Email me back if you need more.  But, I would be looking at a transmission shop.  Also, if it is a 4X4 the high and low could be stuck.
