Where do I locate the fuse for the cigarette lighter on my 2004 Nissan Maxima. I think I know where the fuse box is but what fuse should I change. Should the cigarette lighter go out often. It works off and on.

The front and read cigarette lighter, power adapters, are only on when the ignition key is on.  Otherwise, they are switched off.  And, unless you had cigarette lighters installed they are only power adapters to plug things into.  They are not very robust and the internal ground clips tend to break off.  You probably have this problem and the socket itself has failed.  Bad news is that Nissan uses a special one only for Nissan cars.  You can adapt an aftermarket plug but it is a pain due to Nissan design.
