Nissan Repair: error P0705 (1003), nissan altima, front wheel drive

Question
I need to replace the park/neutral switch on my 1996 Nissan altima.It is a front wheel drive manual transmission. Could you tell me where it is?

Hi Pam -

This switch is usually on the transmission with a couple wires attached to it. It is hex shaped so you can remove it with a wrench. Follow where the linkage from the shifter enters the transmission, and the switch should be near it.
