Nissan Repair: 2003 Nissan Frontier brakes, performance friction, nissan frontier

Question
heres my issue and i just started two days ago both front calipers and rear drums are simultaneously catching. the fronts are quite a bit more noticeable than the rears. what's confusing me and my dad is that we've check the fluids and the ABS and we don't think thats my problem. now when i put it in gear (D & R) if there is any incline at all it wont move like im pressing the brake but when i was driving it and came to a stop it was like i had no pads at all cause it sounded like it was grinding to a stop. i just got the truck about 3 months ago and i has about 92,000 mi. on it now and i do now that the pads were changed around 50,000 mi. i looking for a second opinion to see what im getting into cause tomorrow she's going to a brake shop.
I appreciate any and all help anyone can offer, thanks

Answer
Robert,

I would replace the pads with the factory ones or Performance Friction Carbon Metallic pads.  If the surfaces are work hardned, like they are a light blue in color, I would replace the rotors too.  But, remember that the asbestos pads were outlawed, so you have to understand that brakes last half as long as they once did.  Do not use ceramic pads as they pedal feel sucks and the braking distance is longer.  The brands I recommend, from experience, are above.
