Question
My brake and battery light came on at the same time.  I checked the brakes and everything looked fine.  Then I read it is my alternator.  I changed the alternator, but the 2 lights are still on.  I had the old alternator checked, and it was bad.  I also had the new one checked and it was good.  The car still dies when you remove the negative battery terminal.  I looked at the fuses under the hood and in the car and none are blown.  What else could it be?  Please help.  Thank you

Answer
Tim,

I would check the wiring to the alternator to make sure the power wire is not burnt in two and that the positive cable fuses and fuse links are also good.  Those are the two placed that the system will blow fuses and fuse links when the alternator screws up.
