Nissan Repair: electrical - Fuel system, fuel pump relay, fuse panel

Question
QUESTION: Two days ago my sons 1997 altima died in the middle of the dtreet.  We towed it home and I started running down the steps.  After concluding that there was no fuel being delivered, I checked the fuse, which was good.  I pulled the fuel pump relay, and check the circuit that the relay plugs into.  There was no measurable voltage on the meter.  I pulled the adjacent relay on the same strip and it read 12.2 on the meter, so I know power is getting to the strip.  In addition to the relay connection, the power windos and the turn signals have also cut out.  I have hazard lights but not individual turn signals.  Are/could these three related or am I dealing with a host of problems?

ANSWER: Hi Pat -

It looks like all are related. Did you check the other fuses in that strip? I assume you are speaking of the box near the battery that has all the large circuit fuses and relays? Did you check the other fuses?

Sometimes it could be a fusible link. Check the wiring and continuity of all the circuits coming out of the positive cable of the battery. Some of these are fusible links, and although look OK from the outside, could be cut under the insulation.

I was going to say to check the fuel cut off relay, but that won't cut the lights.

Let me know
thanks

QUESTION: Calvin,
Thank you for your quick response.  I puled the other relays on the strip and the voltage regulator indicated the rest were hot when the key was on.  I checked the fusable links and they all looked good.  I even took everything apart and separated the relay strip box to see if there were any loose wires inside but they were all tight.  All the fuses on the fuse panel are good.  I am going to get the diagnostic tool tomorrow and check the codes, but I am near given up.  Thanks for the insight.  I appreciate your time and help.

Answer
Aloha Pat -

Gee, what a paradox. Do you have a wiring diagram? Perhaps you can trace back from the relay and see where you are losing the power.

Other than that, I sure would like to know what tha end result is. Can you keep me posted?
