Nissan Repair: adjusting clutch pedal height, clutch pedal, grounding system

Question
Hi,
I own a 2006 350Z and the clutch pedal is annoyingly high, it is ruining the whole driving experience of the car and is making me drive it in a jerky manner and also makes it too easy to ride the clutch.
My mechanic said he wont adjust it because it will be as though the clutch is always slightly disengaged. But my friend who used to be a mechanic is willing to do the job for me(he is aware of the risk of disengagement). I just want it inline with the brake pedal so I don't have to contract my ankle every time I change gears. I am thinking 1 - 1 1/4 of a rotation.
Is this safe for the clutch or will it cause premature wear?
Thanks.

Answer
Michael,

The clutch heigth is not the problem.  The problem is with the engine grounding system.  Get an engine grounding system and your problems will be solved.  I have a 350Z and the Japanese Domestic Market cars come with an engine grounding system.  Go to courtesynissan.com and get to their parts department and get a JDM engine grounding system and install it and you will be impressed with the way your car performs.  I thought I sucked at clutch engagement until I installed the grounding system.  Basically, the car has a drive by wire throttle.  The ground loops set up in the engine make shifting a chore.  With the grounding system the car performs flawlessly.  Do not mess with the clutch height.
