Nissan Repair: 94 maxima will not stay on when idle, mile radius, domonique

Question
Just bought this 94 maxima friday. Drove fine all day till it died on me, I got it jumped then went to the store and it died again. Got it jumped once where and it died again. I only drove about a 5 mile radius. I got it jumped a last time and when I waited for a family member to get in the car i held the brake and the lights started flickering along with a clicking noise being made then the car turned off. Got it jum;ed once more then I noticed pressing the gas kept it on pushing the break killed it. IS there any diagnosis that give me some kind of reason for this.

Answer
Hi Domonique

First of all, ensure that the battery is fully charged or not weak. That could cause it to keep dying.

Secondly, check the alternator if it is charging. The fact that it was running fine, could mean that the battery was charged at that time, but if the alternator was not charging, then you will run into the problems you face. Is there any recourse to go back to the seller for this?

Hope this helps -
