Chevrolet Repair: puting 95 chevy 350tbi intake manifold on 70s style 350 engine, chevy 350, intake manifold

is it possible in any way to put a 95 chevy tbi intake on an 70s carbureted chevy 350?  what are my options?

Hey,

  Yes they do fit but there needs to be one modification to the cylinder heads.  

  You will notice that the center intake manifold bolts on the older style intake go in on an angle and the late model aluminum TBI intakes are drilled straight down.  The cylinder heads need to be drilled and tapped to accept the new angle bolts.  With the proper equipment you can do this yourself but I suggest bringing heads to a local machine shop. They probably have the jig and template ready to go for a small fee.
